Temporary contract until 31 March 2026

We are looking for someone to join our diligent team working out of our Customer Centre in the Belvoir Centre in the heart of Coalville.

You will join a busy and friendly team of Customer Service Officers, providing both face-to-face and telephone help to residents in the district, covering the full range of services that the council provides.

There may be the opportunity to work from home on a hybrid basis following the initial training and completion of competency checks.

You must be able to talk to people at all levels, have excellent listening skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service to everyone you talk to. There is the potential to progress to a higher level Customer Service Officer, based on your competency, where you would deal with customer's financial matters e.g. council tax and benefits.

• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £23,500- £23,893 (pro rata to length of contract) (pay award pending)

• 34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (pro rata to length of contract)
