Service Technician Nottingham/Derby (Midlands / Field Role) Midlands Region Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £27,500 Company Car Benefits Employal is pleased to partner with a globally recognised technology business to recruit a skilled Service Technician based in the Midlands. You will be part of their UK Document & IT Solutions division, providing field-based support to customers across the region. You will deliver installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and technical support for multi-function printers (MFPs) and other hardware. The role:

• Install, diagnose, maintain and repair MFPs and document hardware across your territory
• Respond to customer service calls and technical issues in accordance with SLAs
• Advise customers on preventative maintenance, machine configuration and best practice
• Work closely with the call centre, ensuring accurate logging, reporting and communication
• Maintain stock levels and service paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Escalate issues when necessary and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Travel regionally to cover customers, holiday absences, and occasional overflow

The candidate:

• Hold a full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling around the Midlands region
• Sound electromechanical skills, ideally with experience working on MFPs or similar hardware
• Strong communicator, both verbal and written, comfortable dealing with customers and internal teams
• Excellent organisational skills, prioritisation ability, and attention to detail
• Experience in field service, technical support, or hardware maintenance is a plus
• Willing to work overtime when required to support customer needs
