Peter Liddle will be talking about The Archaeology of Bradgate Park.
Bradgate Park is iconic for Leicestershire people. Beyond the fact that it was a medieval deer park and contained 'Lady Jane Grey's House' little was known about its archaeology. A five year project has begun to address this but has only scratched the surface. Sites investigated have included an ice age hunting camp, the medieval parker's lodge and the house and stables, allowing us to answer the question: 'Was it really Lady Jane's house?'
Usual time of 7.30 pm. £4 (cash or card) including light refreshments.
