LOTS OF LAUGHTER IN ASHBY–DE–LA-ZOUCH

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Friday June 14th for another great night of laughter. 

Topping the bill is writer, actor and comedian Justin Moorhouse who has appeared on TV in Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo, Coronation Street and Phoenix Nights. With his easy-going and charming persona he entertains his audiences, relating his tales and clever observations and has them hanging on to his every word.

Opening the night will be the intelligent, controversially witty, hip and silly Markus Birdman, who got to semis of last year's 'Britain's Got Talent'. Regarded by many in the know as one of the best circuit acts in the country, he has toured internationally and had highly acclaimed shows at the Edinburgh Festival. His dandyish onstage confidence, versatility and infectious nature result in a truly absorbing performance. 

Also appearing will be comedian and script writer Sean Percival. His brand of comedy steers clear of the surreal and confronts realism in an explosively funny way. His down to earth act is unforgettable with its upfront attitude, no long stories, just gags galore.

Compere for the night will be amiable and animated Spiky Mike.

Curry with your comedy?

Why not save on the washing up and enjoy a home made authentic curry before the show. We use local producers and suppliers and receive rave reviews on our chef's speaciality curries. Curries are just £7.50 and come with the usuals gubbins.

No need to reserve your curry just visit the stage upon arrival. For dessert we have a superb array of flavours of local dairy ice creams from the wonderful cows at Bluebells for just £3.00 a tub.
