North West Leicestershire District Council has introduced measures to help people in the Ashby area pay their Council Tax bills during the Coronavirus crisis.
It says there are now flexible options available.
Organisers of the Ashby Show have called it off with the event more than three months away.
It is a sign that the Coronavirus Crisis is still likely to be having an effect at the height of the summer.
The increasing threat of Coronavirus was brought home to the Ashby area with the news that a doctor who worked at a hospital in Burton has died after testing positive for coronavirus - becoming the first hospital frontline worker to lose their life to the disease.
Amged El-Hawrani, who was 55, worked at Queen's Hospital in Burton and died at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester on Saturday evening.
