Ashby United's teams will make use of the pavilion facilities

Ashby United Community Football Club has announced a new partnership with Ashby School and LiFE Multi Academy Trust (MAT) to use and develop the Range Road playing fields and the new, state of the art pavilion for the club's social and welfare activities.

The partnership comes at an important time for Ashby United. Since its launch last year, the club has grown beyond expectation and now comprises 15 teams from under fives to veterans over 55.

Groups and sports clubs in Measham and Moira have been helped to re-open safely thanks to a new community grant scheme.

Measham Mobility Bus and Heart of the Forest Heritage are among those that have used North West Leicestershire District Council's (NWLDC) Community and Sport Club Coronavirus Support Grant scheme to get back up and running after lockdown.

Children in Ashby will have a raft of activities at their fingertips this summer after leisure operator Everyone Active linked up with holiday course provider TayPlay.

Everyone Active, which runs Hood Park Leisure Centre in Ashby in partnership with North West Leicestershire District Council, has brought in TayPlay to deliver camps for children aged 5-11 (year one-year six).
