A caravan was stolen from a property in Ashby during a nighttime theft last month.

A dispersal order – which grants police the power to move on anyone deemed to be a nuisance or who is committing a crime – will be in place in Ashby this weekend.
The move comes after group of people gathered in Market Street following England's win over Germany last night (Tuesday).

An 80-year-old man has been charged with a number of non-recent indecent assault offences.
Leicestershire Police say that Michael Hudson of Sycamore Drive, Moira, Leicestershire, has been charged with 10 counts of indecent assault on boys under the age of 16.
Ashby School has been given a once in a lifetime chance to get involved in inter-planetary exploration this year - on Mars!
The school's name was included on a microchip contained within NASA's Mars 2020 mission.

Ashby United Community Football Club has announced a new partnership with Ashby School and LiFE Multi Academy Trust (MAT) to use and develop the Range Road playing fields and the new, state of the art pavilion for the club's social and welfare activities.
The partnership comes at an important time for Ashby United. Since its launch last year, the club has grown beyond expectation and now comprises 15 teams from under fives to veterans over 55.

Police were called to the Norris Hill area and arrested the 31-year-old on suspicion of arson, criminal damage and drug possession.

Children in Ashby will have a raft of activities at their fingertips this summer after leisure operator Everyone Active linked up with holiday course provider TayPlay.
Everyone Active, which runs Hood Park Leisure Centre in Ashby in partnership with North West Leicestershire District Council, has brought in TayPlay to deliver camps for children aged 5-11 (year one-year six).
