Voters in villages near Ashby will be in another constituency if Boundary Commission changes go ahead as planned this year

Residents in Oakthorpe and Donisthorpe - as well as Appleby - are likely to be voting for different MPs at next year's General Election.
A number of boundary changes have been proposed for Leicestershire, with The Boundary Commission for England submitting its final proposals for reshaping the country's political layout to make sure each area has the right number of voters.
Parliamentary constituencies should, by law, have between 69,724 and 77,062 electors, with population migration and growth meaning they must be regularly reviewed.
Current legislation requires this to happen every eight years. The Government now has four months to approve the changes.
The newly named constituency of Hinckley and Bosworth has gained Appleby and Oakthorpe & Donisthorpe from North West Leicestershire.
It means they will not be voting for Andrew Bridgen, currently MP for North West Leicestershire - who now represents the Reclaim Party after being kicked out by the Conservatives.
Only one local area – Leicester West – has come through the process unscathed, and with all its wards intact. However, some of the more controversial proposals from the previous rounds of consultation have been reconsidered.
One of the very early iterations of the plan suggested Glenfield should join with Leicester West to make up the correct population figures. This was dropped. Suggestions the city should take on Oadby instead also did not come to fruition.
Oadby and Wigston were at one point also being considered for a union with Blaby. However, they will be staying with Harborough in the most recent plan.
The city would only see one ward change under the latest suggestions. Evington could be chopped in half, with a section moving from Leicester East to Leicester South.
In the county, the changes are more widespread. Rutland and Melton, currently held by Alicia Kearns, is to be split in two. Rutland will move over the Lincolnshire border to join with Stamford. Melton will form a new constituency – Melton and Syston – taking a number of wards from Edward Argar's Charnwood seat, as well as Sileby from Loughborough, the seat of Jane Hunt. Loughborough remains otherwise unchanged.
The rest of Charnwood looks set to be absorbed into a new seat, called Mid Leicestershire, which would also take areas of Luke Evans's Bosworth seat and Alberto Costa's South Leicestershire seat. Bosworth looks set to be renamed Hinckley and Bosworth and
South Leicestershire would take wards from Harborough. Harborough is also set to get a new name, becoming Harborough, Oadby and Wigston. The seat, held by Neil O'Brien, would take some land from the edges of Rutland.
