Occupational Health Technician (Known internally as Employee Health & Wellbeing Technician) Ashby based with regular travel to Uttoxeter, Hellaby and Pontefract (3 days part time) Join our snack-loving team! As our EHW Technician, you'll be central to delivering our health and wellbeing agenda, providing health surveillance, wellness programs, and support for occupational health needs across multiple KP Snacks locations. What will you be doing?
  • Health Surveillance : Conduct essential health assessments such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening, ensuring employee health risks are monitored and managed.
  • Clinical Assessments & Documentation : Undertake pre-placement health assessments, document outcomes, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Data Management & Reporting : Record health surveillance data with precision, providing insights that support trend analysis and proactive risk management.
  • Employee Support & Engagement: Support employees by providing information on health resources, mental health support, and wellness initiatives.
  • Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with KP's EHW policies and practices, working closely with HR and health and safety teams to uphold a consistent approach.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Partner with EHW Advisors, site HR, and health and safety professionals, contributing to KP's culture of wellbeing and continuous improvement.

  • Background in occupational health, health sciences, or a related field
  • Experience in health surveillance or occupational health, ideally in manufacturing
  • Relevant health surveillance certifications or willingness to train
  • Strong knowledge of health surveillance practices (e.g., audiometry, spirometry)
  • Data management proficiency with attention to accuracy and compliance
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with employees at all levels
