Yard Operative (Picker) - temporary for 2 years

North West Leicestershire District Council works across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We're looking for an enthusiastic hard working individual to be part of our busy Waste Transfer Team, working in the yard at Linden Way Depot, Coalville as a valued member of our Waste Services Department. 

 You will be assisting other Yard Operatives to carry out a range of depot operations, including removing contamination, sorting recyclable materials, and baling items for collection. Maintaining high standards of quality is essential in this role. You'll be expected to follow strict health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.

No previous experience is required and full training will be provided. 

•          37 hours hrs per week with an annual salary of £24,790 - £25,183 (pay award pending)

•          252 hours of holiday per year (including bank holidays) increasing to 282 hours after 5 years
