Environmental Health Officer
North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. As a part of our Environmental Protection Team, you will carry out duties in relation to private sector housing & housing standards, pollution control, nuisance, disabled facilities grants and respond to service requests in relation to air quality and contaminated land. You will be involved in undertaking inspections and visits, investigating alleged breaches and taking appropriate enforcement action where necessary. You will also supervise the team in relation to enviro crime and public protection caseloads. We are looking for someone who is an excellent organiser, able to manage multiple and complex cases. Your effective communication skills make it easy for you to confidently communicate and develop relationships with a variety of external agencies, organisations, residents and colleagues. You are passionate about making sure our residents feel valued because you can see the issues through their eyes.
• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £39,152 - £42,839 (including 2 temporary market supplements)
