Economic Development Officer
Temporary contract initially for six months; maternity leave cover
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our Economic Development and Regeneration Team on a temporary contract to help us helping to deliver a range of initiatives that support businesses, communities and place-based growth across the district of North West Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to help play a key role in delivering parts of the Council's Economic Growth Plan, providing essential project support, coordination and reporting across a portfolio of regeneration and economic development projects.
You will support the delivery of a variety of projects and programmes, including grant schemes and regeneration initiatives. Working closely with Senior Economic Development Officers, contributing to project coordination, maintain accurate records, support stakeholder engagement, and help with monitoring and reporting progress and outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, collaborative and keen to develop their experience in economic development and regeneration.
You will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team working to deliver noticeable improvements for our communities and local economy. This is a temporary opportunity initially for 6 months with the possibility of extending to a maximum of 12 months, depending on the date of the return to work of the post-holder.
· 21.75 hrs per week with a starting annual salary of £17,159 pro rata to length of contract (pay award pending)
