Community Focus Officer – temporary contract for two years

North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We're looking for a Community Focus Officer to join our Community Focus Team. This dynamic role allows you to collaborate and work with any range of partners, colleagues, and projects! You'll be the key link between town and parish councils, unparished areas, councillors and the district council, fostering teamwork, solving problems, and enhancing communication. Plus, you'll engage with the voluntary and community sector, driving community spirit through the development of training, attending events, promoting grants, and relationship-building. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to build good rapport, and the ability to deal with sensitive and challenging situations. 

•           36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £37,280 - £40,777

•           Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working

•           34 days holiday (including bank holidays) increasing to 38 days after 5 years (full time equivalent)
