Recycle More Officer – maternity cover contract for 6 months with the possibility of extension North West Leicestershire District Council is a busy council, working across our communities to help people and businesses thrive. We're looking for a Recycle More Officer to join our busy Waste Services team.

About the role: This role is key in assisting the delivery of the council's exciting recycling campaign – Recycle More. The role is vital in helping and delivering all of the communications relating to the Recycle More campaign as well as engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders, including residents, parish and town councils, businesses and volunteer and community groups.

Our ideal candidate: You must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (or equivalent) and different forms of social media. Experience in carrying out professional and engaging presentations will be essential, and you must be able to demonstrate that you can effectively develop and maintain comprehensive working relationships with a wide variety of people. A knowledge of the waste and recycling industry is not essential, although a keen interest in recycling and environmental issues will be beneficial. • 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £27,711 - £31,067 (pro rata to length of contract)
