Due to the retirement of a long standing member of the engineering team, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join this growing team in the automotive industry, the business is based in Castle Donington.You will use your mechanical and electrical skills to respond to breakdowns and perform planned maintenance on machinery such as conveyors and robots. The company is investing heavily into the plant in the next couple of years with plans of new machinery and projects.If successful, you will be working a double days shift pattern Monday to Friday, with plenty of opportunities to enhance your skill set and technical knowledge. You will have a can do attitude and be able to react quickly and efficiently. The role of the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Maintain plant and machinery to a high standard through PPM
  • Troubleshoot and find ways to improve line performance.
  • Carry out pre-shift maintenance checks.
  • Carry out condition based maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Providing effective handover
  • Working on new installation projects.
Skills and Qualifications required in this Maintenance Engineer role:
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Preferably a time served apprentice.
  • Strong electrical skills
  • Automotive experience would be an advantage
Benefits of this Maintenance Engineers role:
  • Basic salary of £40,000 - £45,000
