Empowering Learning are working alongside a school in the Swadlincote area who are looking to add a teaching assistant to their support team. The role will be full time and will begin as soon as possible. This will have the potential to become permanent for the right person

The school are looking for someone who:

• Has at least one years experience working in a school environment
• Is confident in delivering the KS1 and KS2 curriculums
• Can act as a positive role model for the children
• Is able to demonstrate a good level of behaviour management
• Can develop the children's attainment and engagement levels
• Has a good sense of humour! (It helps)

The main duties within this role will be:

• Leading academic interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
• Working on a 1:1 basis with children who present with a range of needs
• Leading lunch time clubs to help promote inclusion
• Liaising with the class teachers around progress of the pupils
• Helping small groups of children engage in lessons
