Operational Specialist - Logistics Castle Donington

Your new company Working in our clients' modern office, you will report to the Service Manager and be the central point of contact between internal departments and branch. Your new role You will ensure the smooth execution of transport orders and accurate communication channels in line with service levels. You will support the branch and ensure smooth transit alongside communication channels and sourcing solutions to delays and issues. You will be required to carry out the following key duties:

  • Liaise with branch and suppliers to ensure customer expectations
  • Obtain competitive rates for ad hoc quotes received from customers by liaising directly with suppliers via internal systems and phone communication
  • Process bookings and ensure information obtained is correct and confirm carriers
  • Track and Monitor shipments and manage expectations
  • Ensure an understanding of all quoting, booking and invoicing procedures
  • Investigate any complications which arise from the movement of cargo
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with carriers and build mutual confidence to ensure market knowledge and competitive rates are at the forefront of every response.

Compliance Administrator up to £31k Hybrid Role purpose:The Compliance Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the organisation operates in full accordance with all relevant UK laws, regulations, and sector best practices.The role protects the charity's reputation and public trust by implementing, maintaining, and improving compliance systems covering statutory obligations, safeguarding, GDPR and data protection, complaints handling, and website & social media content compliance.
