Astute Recruitment are partnering with an established and trusted client based in Ashby de la Zouch. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant with experience using Xero.
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on role, who can proactively work alone as well as working well within a team. This position involves managing ledger balances, processing financial transactions, and providing detailed financial reports directly to clients.
You will enjoy collaborating with both external clients and internal teams, such as asset managers and will be a key contributor in ensuring that financial records are accurate and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recording and maintaining financial transactions
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and records
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, and third-party providers
- Preparing reports for clients with commentary and supporting documents
- Filing VAT returns and reconciling supplier accounts
Candidate Experience:
- Experience working on Xero is essential for this role
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Be able to provide examples of successfully working as a team
- Strong communication skills, confident in dealing with non-finance colleagues
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- High attention to detail and a diligent approach to work
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Salary and Hours:
- Salary up to 28,000 depending on experience
- 37.5-hour week with flexible working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm
- 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, with an additional day off for your birthday
