Forest School NurseryHandkerchief Day Nursery are looking for someone to join our outdoor Forest school team. The role will be 40 hours per week Monday-Friday. Your role will mainly be outdoors for the majority of the day. You will establish routines and boundaries to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children. You will be expected to liaise with the indoor team about the children's learning, development and curiosities.The role of a Forest School Leader:- Plan and develop the nursery's existing outdoor learning provision- Ignite a love of the outdoors in children- To lead and implement good practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), support and mentor all team members and model the skills and behaviours that safeguard and promote good outcomes for children- Engage children with learning objectives through outdoor learning sessions- Have fun- Undertake risk assessments- To provide high standards of childcare and education including monitoring and reviewing the provision at all times- Be prepared to work in all weathers and be hands on!You should hold a Level 3 Forest School qualification and a relevant up to date Outdoor First Aid qualification.We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts.
