Ashby: Police and Crime Commissioner wants to know your views and suggestions

Leaflets have been coming through letterboxes in Ashby from Leicestershire's Police and Crime Commissioner Rupert Matthews - asking you how you want the county to be policed.

The Commissioner says this is your chance the 2021 Police and Crime Plan.

Commissioner Matthews says: "My vision is for efficient, robust and professional policing.

"I am determined to make life safer, I want this to be a plan that works for everyone.

"We are diverse in many ways and I do not intend to write a catch all plan.

"I intend to so my best to work with all involved and make the county safer for everyone who lives and works here.

"That is why it is so vital you click HERE and give me your views by October 18."

Commissioner Matthews has set out four key things local communities need.

"* Visible Policing - Police officers and staff will be more visible.

  • Rural Policing - Provide resources to tackle crimes affecting our countryside
  • Community Policing - Ensuring that residents are heard, know more about their local police and that the force is keeping people safe.
  • Support for Victims - I am further determined to ensure that, if you are unfortunate enough to become a victim of crime, that you receive outstanding support services, tailored to your needs."
